It just comes from immaturity, the ol' "my dad can beat up your dad" crap. Opinions are like ***holes, everyone has one and they all stink to someone else. If you like a particular style, then that's good for you; you should enjoy what you practice. Trashing others isn't the way to go.

I must also agree with you, there is no single "better" Martial Art, and that's why every one of these disciplines have survived for so long, but unfortunately, theres gonna be the select few people that jump on the bandwagon of what's popular and trash everything else because they don't believe in it's practicality.
it just boils down to good sportsmanship, just like in any other sport or competition, if you don't show some respect to begin with, how can you hope to get any in return?
when it all comes down to the training and strategy the individual fighters bring to the match to win, if they see somethings not working, then cut it and go to plan B, then C, and so forth and so on.
It's just my opinion, but I think most of these guys that challenge any other Martial Art and trash it must have something to prove; either to themselves or to someone else, and it winds up creeping into their lives and causes them to be cocky or disrespectful, and that is a truly sad problem that they can't understand about what Martial Arts was based around in the beginning

because some people have not enough knowledge and experience about this subject - and if you training particular style of Martial Arts then in most cases you will say that this one is the best. Anyway the truth is like one top Martial Artist(Bruce Lee) said once - U will be very very good it depends of how much time U spend to practise martial art and how U will training it, not which style U gone practise!

Its mostly the idiots who think UFC is life... or that BJJ is better than any other martial art on the face of the earth. Martial arts has started to lose its meaning in mainstream society. When we started, we learned that while every other art was different from ours, there were thousands of years of history to be respected. Respect and honor come from first giving it...

The finest Martial Art of All time is " CHIN DOWN ", 'tis essentially the most lethal. That is in which you're in a bar, a battle breaks out, you notice that a enormous man is approximately to get smeared, you place CHIN DOWN to CHEST , PRETEND to SNOOZE,and NOT watch what occur subsequent considering that YOU no longer INVOLVED. UNLESS it's regarding your WIFE,GIRLFRIEND,RELATIVES,or MOTHER.

Same reason people argue about anything else. IMHO, when people make ostentious claims about 1 art &/or disoarage another as being inefective, they are saying more about their character than they are about any of the arts.
