first of all i don't like conversions of religions. most of the people who convert into another religion are marginalized sections of Hindu society, daliths, untouchables, and people who suffer from insecurity complex. when the preachings of all the religions same, why should any person convert? poor people in third world countries are converting into other religions because they are offered some monetary benefits by the preachers of those religions.as the basic tenets of all religions are irrational and dogmatic, we can not get scientific answers from them.it is wrong to say that only people beloved in Jesus go to heaven and others to hell.tolerance of other religions is the need of the hour.heaven and hell are created by man with an intention to prevent people from doing bad deeds and encourage them to do good deeds. in psychology, this is called reinforcement and punishment. shun the path of dogmatic religion and embrace the path of rationalism.then you will not get this type of doubts.

Whoever told you that is wrong. Jesus said that He is the only way to the Father. All other ways lead to hell.
As it says in Romans 1, people are without excuse. God has made Himself clearly known. People suppress the truth. When someone acts on the truth, God gives them even more light.
During the days of the Soviet Union, Irina Ratushinskaya was a precocious 10 year old girl. She lived in Odessa. She was having to listen to her teacher go through a mandatory atheism class. She thought to herself, "My parents told me once or twice that there was no such things as ghosts or monsters. That was it. But the State tells me every week that there is no God. He must be very powerful if they are so afraid of Him."
As Irina grew up, she was given more truth, until one day she was actually able to get her hands on a Bible, written in an ancient Slavic script. She learned that language so that she could read it. She discovered that she believed the truth, and was a Christian, by God's incomparable grace, in the middle of the officially atheistic Soviet Union.
Paul also tells us that those who know nothing of the law, but act upon the law written in their hearts, will be judged by that law. As it is written: "For whenever Gentiles, who do not possess the law, do instinctively what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that what the law requires is written in their hearts, a fact to which their own consciences testify, and their thoughts will either accuse or excuse them on that day when God, through Jesus Christ, will judge people's secrets according to my gospel." (Romans 2:14-16)
So, evangelists are trying to save the lives of those who have never heard the Gospel. It is not unfair at all.

There's probably a loophole in there somewhere, but I don't know what it is.
Catholics (as I was raised) aren't quite so generous. I think they make their non-catholic brethren attend catholic classes in purgatory first. So catholic evangelism could arguably serve a purpose.
Or maybe they believe that there's a more heavenly heaven for them if they've met their quota of converts? Kind of like Animal Farm - some animals are more equal than others.
Or! Maybe it's like the Love Boat - the evangelists get to sit with Captain Stubing (god) at dinner.

Romans 1:18-20
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Scripture clearly says that if a man has never heard the gospel and he dies, He is still without and excuse because God made himself evident in nature. It is a little bit different for children. Each child has to come to the age of understanding about God to accept Him. My daughter is two, she is not at that age of understanding yet, because she is just started to develop the language skills to for thoughts. she will come to that age eventually but I think it is different for every child, but there definately comes that point.

if you are handed a gift and take it with thanks, then you are rewarded for it. If you are given a gift and refuse it, you will be condemned.
However, if you never see or hear of that gift because it never came to you how will you know if you wanted it? That is why Jesus judges the heart.

Every person has been ministered to. Be careful what you hear, what you believe. You are very confused. Why would you not want to tell someone about the Lord? You need to talk with your creator.

Mirage,
Don't you understand that it's all BS? When something cannot be proved, there's nothing to prove. Why bother thinking, thinking, and more thinking about questions of fantasy?
I say this in a serious, but friendly way.

Very good question, surely by implication then the evangelists who tell there message to people who have a strong alternative faith know they are condemning them to hell as there is almost no chance they will suddenly convert!?
