I was 'felt up' by a doctor who is now in retirement. They are people just like anyone else, but they are 100% WRONG to have this type of behavior. Report him. It's easy to do over the Internet. Yes, sadly there are more than a few out there. If possible, you really should report him - I'm sure you are not the first, and it could prevent him from doing this to others in the future.

Lucky - have you considered reporting the incident? Even though it may have been some time ago, you can still do this (even if you do not know the doctor's name, as long as you have an idea of when it took place (ie month, year) there should be records of who made that visit). Frightening to think of the number of children he may have molested - and perhaps still is.

Please girls, if someone takes advantage of their position in this way, they need to be reported for the protection of others!

I congratulate you on handling this so well! Kudos to you!! I'm a nurse and naturally I've crossed paths with a great many doctors but they wouldn't dare try that with me. You could pursue this if you wish. Reporting both incidents of inappropriate and offensive behavior to your insurance company, your state medical licensing board and to the local branch of the AMA may help prevent some other woman from experiencing the same thing you did.

I had a Dr. act in an inappropriate way many years ago. Like yourself, I left and did nothing but not return. In Canada, we have the College of Physicians and Surgeons where you can find out if they have had other complains. Perhaps in the States there is the Surgeon General but I'm sure there would be somewhere to call. If you were to find out that he has other complaints perhaps you might want to think about reporting him. It is so hard to report if you feel that your are alone. It has been in excess of 30 years for me since the incident and I wish to this date that I followed through with reporting him. I hope this doesn't mess you up in the future. Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I honestly do not believe that there are many Doctor perverts out there!

Yikes, that sounds scary. Fortunately, I have not come across a perverted doctor and I hope it stays that way. I would report that doctor to your state medical board and file a complaint. I am sure other patients have complained about him too and it may start an investigation into his practice.

You should have a nurse present when you are being examined by a male doctor. I too had this with a male doctor in India but he did not go as far as yours did....He did a lot of touching and when I told the family I was staying with they laughed but did not do anything about it.

This is a serious allegation, which you should consider taking to the doctors registering body. If there was a chaperone present while you were examined, then she would be able to support your claim. If there was no chaperone present, then it is much harder to prove, unless other people have similar complaints.
