For example, if I pinch myself in a dream, to tell if it's real or not, it still hurts just as much as if I did it in real life!!! How can I stop this? It's really bad when I'm driving, cause I never know if I'm dreaming or not!!

There is a movie that I think you would enjoy called Waking Life. It talks about this same thing. A couple of tips it gives is to look at a digital clock & flipping light switches. If you're dreaming, the numbers on a digital clock will appear scrambled. Ex. backwards, upside down & in different shapes. If a light switch is up, try turning it off. The light will either stay on or flicker or be off when it should be on; however, I tried that one in a dream once & the lights were normal so I guess it just depends. I sometimes have the same problem knowing if I'm dreaming or not. Regardless, I do think you'd find the movie very interesting.

Wow...I've had such dreams too!! My recurring dream was about a bf (past) that I was in love with and I kept dreaming he loved me too. One time I pinched myself also and felt it so I knew the dream was true...but then I woke up.

There's really nothing you can do but eventually you will know the difference and when you are really awake you will really know it. Just trust in that and if you don't then just do what you normally would do anyway.

I've got the same problem.
But I I've learned to enjoy it and now I refer to it
as my 'other life' or my 'night life'. It keeps me
entertained because sometimes I really can't tell
if something really happened or if I just dreamed it.

It's pretty funny
(sometimes I think I had a fight with someone
and I'd be pi$$ed off with them, where in fact,
it was only a dream)

Yeh I have those dreams.. sometimes I keep waking up in my room.. sometimes its filled with candles.. other times completely bare& filled with flies.. ugh

The best trick is if you're stuck whether you're in a dream or not.. try doing something normal like looking at a picture or your watch.. or opening a door into another room. If you're in doubt about it then you're dreaming. But please don't dream when you're driving.. sounds dangerous

--saw waking life too.. complicated but great film

don't dream that you're drinking, and drive safe if your dreaming or not... sounds like you don't get enough sleep, or you work too hard and long.
