these are two different situations, you are talking about here

If a dog attacks a child
it is deemed , to be out of control and dangerous
it is usually "put down"
mainly as it is unpredictable and may do this again ;

A paedophile who interferes with a child , is beneath contempt
but we do not ,do capital punishment here in UK
paedophiles should , in theory, be locked up
until there is no further danger to the public.
Judges, prison officers and psychiatrists ,
often get fooled into thinking these miscreants,
have reformed and would not offend again .
Sadly (in the real world ) this is not the case ,
and we see more tragedies happen , as these paedophiles are set loose again and again .

There is a fine line between Justice and humanity .
I honestly do not know what the solution to this is

Our children must be protected from such vile attacks .

i understand what you are saying - i think pedos should have pain inflicted on them for their crimes. however did you see in the news about 2 dogs dragging a baby onto a pub roof and killing it not so long ago? thats why once a dog has bitten once (severly) it must be put down.

sad, but sometimes it needn't happen - when i was much younger my sort of friend was teasing my mates dog (a soft, loving dog, never ever hurt anyone) but then the dog swiped him with his paw as a warning and cut open his face accidentally. so the mother went mad and had the dog put down...sad really

That is the miracles of modern law, if you go a mile or two too fast you get a heavy fine and maybe loose your license, but if you kick the living day lights out of some one you get to do community service or something, as for your question the dog should put down on so should the pervert. twice if possible.

A dog, because of its natural breed-born temperament, can attack again regardless how careful the owner may be. Also, after a dog attacks, especially if shots aren't current and even if they are, they are checked for rabies; to protect everyone, if found rabid, the dog is destroyed. As for prison people, that's life---don't lose heart in America's justice system. We have the best.

he should be sterilized (or her) and put on work detail in the amazon rain forest (with all the poisonous creatures etc.) then solitary confinement in a 8 by 8 cell (pitch dark) for 6 months then forced to live out his life on a deserted island..unless his crime was really horrific, then he should be put to death, I know, I'm a little leniant....oh yes, about the dog, it considered too dangerous and a child cannot defend themselves like an adult can.

Let them do their time. I will wait to hurt him. It took God's will to keep me from killing the bastard, while we waited for his trial. Able to run the streets so we were subjected to run into him at the store or the 4H fair and worst of all my own grandmother took him in cause he had no place to go. 1and 1/2 years down and 11 1/2 to go. I would without doubt be happy to exterminate all child abusers.
