"Schwarzen" is "black"; the second word is "egger" not "negger" or "neger". "egger" is very likely just a phonetic spelling of "ecker" derived from the word "Ecke" (g:corner). This would make his name mean something like "the one from the black corner". The "black corner" could be a historical geographical reference.

The most probable explanation of the name Schwarzenegger is this: There is a town in Switzerland called "Schwarzenegg" (meaning "Black Hill"). The "-er" in "Schwarzenegg-er" means that the person comes from Schwarzenegg, which is very common for German, Austrian and Swiss names

It is amazing that all these answers the origin and meaning of the word ****** are so etymological incorrect. The word Schwarz is the German word for Black. Negger/neggar is the German word for Plowman, one who worked in the fields turning dirt for planting. When Germans came to the New World,, they were farmers, or one who plowed fields, they were the original American neggers/neggars When Africans were later brought over to the New World, they were forced into farming, the work the fields as plowmen, they too became plowmen, neggers/neggars.
This word, negger, in its etymology, does not translate to word "Black". You had white plowmen, and you had black plowmen or you had white neggers and black neggers. It is no doubt the word turned into a negative reference toward blacks by whites in the U.S. after the U. S. Civil War, or War between the States. Then even blacks accepted this bold-face lie and embraced it as truth of who who we were to be..

I cannot believe so many formal keepers of word origins and meanings are propagating such wide and profound etymological ignorance of one single word that has such an obvious root and meaning.. ******, negger, ****** has nothing to do with the Latin root niger, neger, ***** or black.

Now, if you have problem believing me, go and ask Arnold Schwarz-negger the meaning of his Austrian/German name. I did!!.

No, it doesn't have a meaning. It doesn't fit ANY grammatical structure in Hebrew or Aramaic. The letters are similar to the verb for 'being', but that's as close as you can possibly get. And if you claim otherwise, you'll simply be proving your lack of knowledge.
