I got my dog spayed and they stapled her up instead of stiches, do they numb her or give sedative?

Everyone here is right--they don't hurt to remove because the skin has already healed. I've had both stiches and staples, and the staples were much more comfortable to have removed.

They have a device that bends the staples in the middle to ease the removal. There should be no need for sedative or numbing.

Hey Tom, I had about 100 in me from neck surgery. No pain getting them out, felt great to get them out!!!!

I had staples at one point in my life they have a tool that bends them open - doesn't hurt, so no need for any drugs (unless you dog is a bal o fire who can't sit still)

Its not going to hurt her, maybe there is going to be one or two that will sting a little but nothing worse than that.

Why, do you want to get it done to you?
