In practical application of day-to-day life? Nothing whatsoever - into that pot you can add deism and agnosticism-with-an-a as well.

In belief, well, as far as I can see it, ignosticism-with-an-i mostly seems to say that the existence or non-existence of God means nothing and is not worth considering (quite similar to non-theism) so is, like agnosticism-with-an-a, more about philosophy and knowledge than about belief.

Atheism is a question of direct, basic belief. Ignosticism seems to side-step that issue.

Atheism is the disbelief in or denial of the existence of god(s).

I couldn't find "ignostic" or "ignosticism" in the dictionary but here's what Wikipedia says:
"Ignosticism is the view that the question of the existence of God is meaningless because it has no verifiable (or testable) consequences and should therefore be ignored."

"For most purposes, this view may be considered a form of agnosticism (sometimes referred to as "apathetic agnosticism"), and falls under the general category of nontheism. But it is a particular form. From this approach, the "I don't know" of agnosticism ceases to mean "I don't know if God exists or not" and becomes "I don't know what you're talking about when you talk about God." This underlies the form of the word: ignosticism, indicating an ignorance of what is meant by a claim of God's existence. Until this ignorance is cleared up, the ignostic is justified in ignoring putative arguments for or against.

So, when the word "God" is spoken, the ignostic may seek to determine if something like a child's definition of a god is meant or if a theologian's is intended."

Agnosticism is the view that the life of a supernatural being (or different metaphysical issues) is unknowable. Atheism is the absence of conception in a supernatural being (a-theist, the position 'a' isn't any and 'theist' is the conception in gods). Ignosticism is the idea that all theological positions assume too a lot with their suitable concepts (alongside with a supernatural being). this is the conception you ought to outline what's meant by technique of 'god' or what it is meant to be a 'theist' first, before you call your self a theist or atheist. Agnosticism and atheism are literally not discrete concepts. you would possibly want to be an agnostic atheist (besides as an agnostic theist). i have not heard a lot about ignosticism, notwithstanding it type of feels that you'll't be an atheist and an ignostic, yet you would possibly want to be an agnostic ignostic (someone who thinks that any information of a supernatural being is unknowable besides as that the theist-atheist definitions presume too a lot of an information of a supernatural being). common, notwithstanding, do not difficulty about classifying your self. you're what you're, even once you attempt to ensure out what you imagine is authentic.

I take it you mean Agnostic, An agnostic accepts there's a God but won't or can't embrace a single religion, an atheist has no beleive in God at all.
sorry forget the above then;
Ignosticism is the view that the question of the existence of God is meaningless because it has no verifiable (or testable) consequences and should therefore be ignored. (See scientific method.) The term was coined by Rabbi Sherwin Wine, founder of the Society for Humanistic Judaism. Ignosticism is often considered synonymous with theological noncognitivism.

Ignostics, unlike the atheists, are to polite to tell you that you are out of your skull, suffering from delusional thinking and should be being treated for a mental disorder.

Agnosticism believes that God may or may not exist, and that there will never be any proof to suffice either side. Atheism is hardcore "there is NO God, period." But then again, you have strong and weak atheists.

Agnostic is someone who believes there is a Supreme being, yet does not practice any religious beliefs. An Athiest is someone who does not believe in the existing of God, at all.

-With all due respect.-

"Ignostics" are 50% sure while atheists are 100% sure god doesn't exist.

It is agnostic. It is someone who is not sure there is a God; but does not truly have the courageto deny him; I know because that is me.

Atheists believe there is no G-d, and Agnostics think there may be, but, they are not really sure.
