Geezzz What is this nonsense?
A minature pinscher is a tough, energatic little dog.
To quote the breed history from the National Minature Pinscher Club:
The Miniature Pinscher is not a scaled-down, smaller version of anything, especially the much larger Doberman. Both the Doberman and Miniature Pinscher likely descended from the Old German Standard Pinscher, (considered by many to be behind several German breeds) but there the relationship ends. Historians agree that the Miniature Pinscher originated in Germany several centuries ago as an efficient barnyard ratter.
If you have ever tried attacking a rat with your hands, you will realize that these dogs are tough and fearless and keep coming back in to the fight not matter how much pain their opponent inflicts.
Probably a whole lot more "macho" than you.
Whats with this STUPID division of dogs into masculine/feminine??
I'm 5'2" weigh 98 lbs wear a size 2 and make men 25 years younger turn and drool when I go down the beach in a bikini (and am happily married for 22 years!)- and I handled a 115 + lb, 29 inches at the shoulder, herd guarding dog whose breed could take out a wolf and whose neck is only 1 inch smaller than my waist!
So what does that mean in this bizzare classification???

What an ignorant question. Maybe he did his research, like a responsible person would, and the miniature pinscher was the most compatible breed for his lifestyle. People who just buy a breed without researching anything are irresponsible. That's the number one reason dogs wind up in shelters or worse, abandoned or euthanized. So to answer your question, No your housemate is not gay for buying a miniature pinscher. He may be gay (and if he is, why does it bother you so?) but I think it's a bit silly & ignorant of you to associate breeds of dog with sexual preference. Does that mean that EVERYone who owns a miniature pinscher is gay? I don't think so. You need to let this issue go and carry on with your life.

He's probably gay since he lives with you.
A dog doesn't make a person gay, and if he is thinking of basset hounds, doesn't sound too feminine. Mabye he likes normal pinchers, but doesn't think the house would be good for a big dog.

No. Many people prefer small dogs because they won't shed as much and they have funny personalities, and as for the female aspect, females are a bit more calm then males and don't jump and pee all over the place.
He's not gay. When you post a question on Yahoo Answers that goes something like, "My housemate was trying to decide on a pink or purple welcome mat for the front door," then you'll know he's gay.

The only thing that makes a man gay is a sexual attraction to other men. I don't think a miniature pinscher is the most masculine of dogs, but it doesn't make him gay.
Mike Ness of Social Distortion has a teeny, tiny Chihuahua and eats tofu, but he's also married punk rock legend with a bunch of kids who'd probably kick your **** if you told him his dog made him gay.

What?! Your housemate is not gay for buying a miniature pinscher, he's thoughtful. If he had bought a bassett, which are very cute by the way, you would have been up to your neck in dog snot and slobber, bassetts are messy (very cute though) so be grateful. Besides pinschers are really cool, they don't know how small they are. :)
p.s. why would you be worried that your housemate is gay?

Tell your roommate he probably should move out, because his roommate is definitely weird.
I've been a dog breeder in the past and you know no one has ever asked me if a breed of dog would make them look gay.
Min Pins have to be that small, god forbid they were bigger, quite the feisty little critters.
No. Go get yourself one of those great big mastiffs so no one will mistake you for being gay. What kind of choice is that to consider when choosing a dog?

What does a miniature pincher have to do with being gay? You're just hoping he is.

How exactly does the dog's breed affect your housemate's sexuality? Different breeds have different qualities, and not everyone can have a pit bull in their flat. A lot of men in my practice have cats because they are less demanding pets, not because of sexual orientation.
The Min Pin looks exactly like a Doberman, except for its size.

Perhaps your housemate knows a bit more about getting girls than you do. Girls love min pins!!! Doesn't matter if they are masculine or not, who cares? Take notes when he walks off with the cute girl you were both chasing cuz he has a cuter dog!!!
