There have been studies linking weight gain and decrease in sex drive (check out www.webmd.com). I went through the same thing when I gained weight. I was 216lbs and sex was the last thing on my mind. I was always tired and I couldn't do and missionary position was the only thing I could do without pulling a muscle in my leg (sorry TMI). The changed when I lost the weight.

Weight gain and a decrees in your sex drive are related but in your head. Obviously you don't feel as sexy. Now, they both could be symptoms of something greater going on. Visit your family doctor for a regular check up.

Yes, significant weight gain will effect your sex drive.. and of course your lovers sex drive also. In our society people put such a stigma on being overweight that when you gain weight you can lower your self esteem and overall feeling of being sexy. It could also effect your hormones, but I believe the mental aspect is even more relevant.

You're probably not comfortable with your body and not comfortable showing it off to someone or getting naked. The way you feel inside affects the way you feel on the outter. Gaining weight has nothing to do with sex, you probably don't feel as sexy as you did before. It you're not comfortable just turn the lights off so you know he's not guessing your weight status. Good Luck girl

Absolutely, just like weight gain affects the desire to do anything...(except sit around) The good news is that a good solid walk or run everyday and a balaced meal will bring it back in a hurry...

It probably does affect your sex drive because you don't feel as sexy when you gain weight. Especially if your partner is totally hot and in great shape

Yes. The larger you are the more effort it takes to move...the less likely you're going to want to put effort into moving.
Also, fat increases testosterone levels in women. So it's not all laziness, there's a hormonal reason for lack of sex drive.
This doesn't include all of the psychological aspects such as feeling unattractive, et cetera, et cetera....

Yes it does, Weight gain messes up a females whole system, late and/or irregular peroids, late ovulation, losing 5-10 lbs. resets the womans hormonal system. for sure lose weight. You might also have lowered your self esteem because you don't feel sexy naked anymore, therefore you're not as horny! :)
