I recently went to a dermatologist and he had me start using a product called Amlactin 12%. It's available over the counter and the stuff is amazing! I first wash with a 5% PanOxyl cleansing bar and then put on the Amlactin.
The first day, clogged pores literally opened up and I could wipe off the gunk that came out of them with a tissue!
You have to use it regularly and at first it makes your face red and even break out more, but once you get through that phase, your skin looks great!
People at church and work have been commenting on how good my skin looks. I've only been using it for 4 weeks. My husband noticed a difference in the first week.

basically oxy pads do the trick they even work hard on keeping the bad cysts down.
try noxema also for washing... it will keep the skin soft since pimples can make your skin from raging oily to stinging dry.
this works for me and i was pizza face as a teen... and i have adult acne with cysts from time to time.
plus the meds i take make me break out... so i think i'm relatively an somewhat authority on pimples and their treatments.
OH and a good diet! veggies and fruits.. and please do drink more water to flush the toxins out of the blood. that will effect the pimple count too.

You should try Acne Free. It's exactly like proactive but better. It cheaper and it doesn't dry out your skin. I got myn for $15 at walmart. The most expensive is about 20 but its still cheaper than proactive.
Good Luck

Proactiv works really good but if you don't want to spend that much money believe it or not with clean & clear advantage acne spot treatment I could tell a difference in 24 hours.

Try 100% Tea Tree Oil. It is a natural anti-biotic that brings down the inflammation and kills the bacteria. You apply this on the area. You can buy this from any drugstore.

on the tyra show the other day, a skin expert says to crush aspirins and make a paste with water, and pat onto the effected areas at bedtime. aspirin is salycilic acid...the main ingredient in most acne meds. go to her website and check it out for yourself.

Its depending on what type of skin you have if it's oily you need something to dry out your face like Noxzema. If its dry and pimply get proactive.

Use nothing except an anticeptic solution (diluted) such as dettol! They will disappear on their own! By the way, don't puncture or scratch them as doing so can multiply them!
