it's hard to come up with good ideas. SOmeone suggested the State Fair, but it's gettinga bit cold outside, so I'm not sure we can do anything outside. Craving decent ideas..

there's no reason you can't have dinner on your 2nd date - I mean, people DO eat several times a day!!! But if you want to do something different you could go to a museum or walk around your local downtown area or you could invite her over and COOK dinner for her at your place...
Don't go to a movie or a play or something that won't let you talk to each other the entire time. You still need to learn about each other, so make sure it's something that will allow you to talk to each other during the date.

You should find a really good spot to look at the stars, preferably some place where there is music. It's Autumn, the rich colors of the seasons combined with the crisp air and woodland smells, should be just the ticket to romance. Maybe an outdoor concert or a spot that has seating on the outside of the venue. Anyway the right music and scenery is always the way to go! For the cold , bundle up in a warm blanket, it will encourage closeness./

Take her out dancing at a night club or invite her over and cook a romantic dinner for her.
Just a couple i can think of off the top of my head.
It doesn't need to be extravagant.. just some quality time together.
