When they used to be in a gold wrapper, the base and fluffy stuff tasted totally different.

YES!! They were bigger, fluffier and jammier! And they didn't taste so dry and chemically! Now they are crap! I know they are different as I had a member of my family work at the factory that produced them. They are smaller to save the company money and are pumped full of preservatives to make their shelf life longer.

Sigh !
i remember them well!

i thought the wrappers were blue and gold

i have not seen them in years

if you enquire, at one of the main supermarket s,
they may be able to tell you if they are still being made .

I cant remember who made them , Huntley and Palmer's ,i think .
I hope they do still retail them,
they were great ,
i used to have one, for my school lunch almost daily .
YUM MY

I think the gold ones where a special edition, dark chocolate or something. They weren't bigger, you had smaller hands then.

I've only ever had one, probably about ten years ago now, and it was disgusting.

But then I always was a fussy eater, even when I was five.
