A hairdresser told me this once and said that was why they always wore long sleeves when cutting hair. I think maybe they were lying to me...

Cut hair can get into your skin , I have not heard about it on the arms, but I have known hairdressers to have hairs grown into the skin of their footsoles! apparently very painful, the hair has to be cut out or the foot will go septic !

this can happen but only with hair that's just been cut. when the hair enbeds itself in the skin its hard to come out because the cuticles open like an umbrella trapping the hair in the skin.

ROFL that is so funny. I'm having such a giggle on here tonight so glad I stayed in now. they were definitely lying - unless of course you superglue the hair to other body parts lol :)

If you have an open wound, then maybe the hair will go in and become an ingrowing hair, and get infected. Also coarse hair (chinese hair particularly) can cause hair splinters.

Thats not true, but when you cut hair, the little chopped off hair itches when it fall on to your skin and can poke you

Only by a surgeon!!!!They don't re-attach, but you can get hair splinters, which can embed themselves into your skin and cause an infection. This is most likely to happen to your toes. So go back to the hairdresser and educate them..... PLEASE!

No it's true. If it lands in a certain way, it can pierce your skin and cause ingrowing hairs. Its happened to my friend on her chest and her arm.

nope they were spot on, if your arms/legs chest are looking a bit sparse your head compensates by thinning itself to spead the follicles. Dear oh dear i though everyone knew that

Have you heard that the word "gullible" is no longer in the English dictionary?
