I agree!! The bible has been written and rewritten, by man of course and therefore omitting the significance of a woman. People forget that God himself did not write the bible, but man did. That is mans word, not God.

When you read your Bible you should always ask the question about context of the Chapter. I Corinthians Chapter 14 is talking about one thing through out the whole Chapter. The subject of the Chapter is speaking in tongues. The Women were not permitted to speak in tongues they were to ask their husband at home what was said. 1 Corinthians 14: 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 1 Corinthians 14: 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 1 Corinthians 14: 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. It sure has nothing to do with undermining women.

No, I don't agree that. Jesus loves women just as much as men.
You need to read the whole book (Corinthians), because these particular women were being unruly and creating a problem in the church. The husband is the leader in the home though. As long as He is in Christ.
It is a shame for anyone to interrupt in a church. But the problem was with the women. For God is a God of order not confusion.

I don't, because I am a believer, and the Bible is the best book ever, though the World my see it in a different way, I am a man, and there is some differences between the two sexes, that some how, the so call new world, doesn't see as positive, though I will keep believing that perfection is on Woman's, Love is on Woman's, and man can only learn about it, by learning pain and sacrifices. perhaps Woman's Lib's, don't see it that way, but I do. Of course there are God way's, and Evil Way's, take you pick.

You are the one who is putting worthiness on women. God who created us has given us rules. And, if we are obedient and faithful, our lives will be filled with peace.
Yet, like everything else, humans contort the Truth. In our secular godless society, we are self-centered and want what we want. We've lost the meaning sacrifice. We do not understand what dieing to ourselves means and picking up your cross and following Jesus. We place or worth in what we do, rather than in what Christ did for us. We uphold our own desires as right, even when they fly in the face of God's Word...we no longer hold God with great reverence and esteem. The Bible has simply become a another book on the shelf for many.
The Psalmist in 119 thanked the Lord for His laws, and delighted in His commands...I think we have lost that today. Sin has really twisted our society and minds over the years...it's sad.
Remember what God said at the end of the sixth day, after He created man and woman...He declared the day as VERY GOOD. I do not think He would have either created woman or cared enough to provide rules to live by or declared His creation as VERY GOOD, if He did not think quite highly of women.

Oh, please! When you read the bible, you have to take into consideration the time. Women were chattel in the age that these books were written. The bible is a history, as well as being given by inspiration of God.
When Jesus came, He lifted up women and honored them. He told their husbands they could no longer divorce their wives for any reason. He saved a woman who was going to be stoned for commiting adultery, and shamed her accusers. He appeared to a woman first, the day He rose from the grave.
Look at what is truly there.....in Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female, slave nor free.

The bible has many such commandments. The bible asks children to be obedient to parents. But that doesn't mean children are undermined by GOD. God has given an order in the church to be followed. It is good to stick to it.
God Bless

I believe there is a reason for everything mentioned in the bible. I believe that women help to guide their men in making the decisions, and are just as important as them men, whether or not they are actually the spokesperson or not.

absolutely not...Paul here is simply stating the order of things in the church...read in Acts how important women were in helping establish and maintain the church...women are vital and their participation, though not in a public worship setting, is crucial to the survival of the New Testament church
