We hear all this stuff about God doing this that and the next thing but what is he/she/it exactly and why has it not made itself known or be seen. Surely if he/she/it really was then maybe at some point in the last 2000 or so years they would have made themselves known to try and stop all the religious wars that have gone on

I'm not religious at all but if I had to answer what God is then I guess it would be something that has the power to take and give life when it wants to. Not just human and animal life but the planets,stars etc.... And therefore God is Nature. Nature is the only thing with that kind of power. Unfortunately some humans think they have that power and thats when we have wars - pointless I agree but there you go human beings (as a mass) aren't actually are very nice species.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but God is nothing but a creation of the human-mind. For me, it's unbelievable that anyone can still believe in a God, it only goes to show how vain and self centred humans are.
Thousands of years ago they needed to find an explanation to what they didn't understand and were afraid of; earthquakes, weather, death, life etc. and they chose to call it God. Religion became a powerful weapon to control others mainly trough fear.
Have anyone thought about what a negative book the bible really is? I mean, mostly it consists of curses over life and very little on how to enjoy it.
So, my answer to your question is that God haven't shown himself, because he doesn't exist and the religious wars continues, not as much as for what they believe in, but as a tool for power and wealth, religion is just an excuse.

Hi, my answer to God (Guardian of divinity) would be, a force or energy. being of Light, the one who created me and you, Can a doctor make a human being? Obviously there is some force out the who watches over me & you. I hope this helps.

A god is a belief which gives people strength in their 'hour of need' and in some cases prob helps them through life.
Unfortunatley, many people are 'brainwashed' into their believes.
However, I am fortunatley strong enough to go through life on my own terms. I do not beleive in a god.....is that a good thing,,does it matter.....

If all the best brains have been beaten on this question what hope is there for Y!A.
If God came to sort out every war then he/she/it would be dragged in every little dispute.
If he/she/it 'fixed' every little problem for humanity then there would be no point in him/her/it to have created us in the first place.

yes i know, well he obviously wants us to fight over him/her/it, or he/her/it is away on an extended vacation, maybe there's no god Hmmm, well try proving that, thats the problem with this question, what about people that live in the jungle and have never heard of God ? does that mean they will go to "hell" for not going worshiping it/her/him ?

"weather" God controlled everything that grew, god being the weather, thats why million years ago they prayed to the Gods, being the weather, God being the sun, god being the rain, god being the wind, etc, each one a vital thing for life!
