I think that when they say the Meek will inherit the earth, they mean that patient people will win out.

I was thinking the other day when hiking that, the softer the element, the more its ability to win over the long run. For example, air always win's over water and water always win's over rock. The softer the element, the more it has the ability to overcome over time.

Therefore, soft emotions will win over hard ones, given enough time. The world may not be as it was before just as a canyon is different today than it was a thousand years ago, but it doesn't mean it won't still be a beautiful thing.

Always remember...Air and Water will always move the Mountain!

Yes it will be worth inheriting. It always has. Everything that dominated the earth goes extinct at some point. Humans are not powerful enough to destroy earth so nothing can live on it.

Isa 65:17 - "Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind."

2Pe 3:13 - "But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness."

Re 21:1 - "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea."

Oh yes, and as a Mom, I can say that I'll be out there cleaning it up too. Do what you can. Think globally, act locally. Even if you're onluy picking up trash around the area. Somedays it seems too overwhelming, but each thing you do, does help. Blessings.

In Rev. 20, 21 you will see that this earth and the present heaven will flee in the presence of God at the Day of Judgement, for no place will be found for them. The last chapter talks about a new heaven and a new earth...perhaps this is what is meant.

Not if we continue to abuse it as we currently are. And what a beautiful planet it is, too. What a shame. What a shame. We're not helpless, though. We can reverse the trend and live with far greater respect for our planet than we have been. It's not yet too late. It can be done.

But will we?

Love your question. I'm thinking, NO. The meek will be getting a real fixer-upper.

I was hopping to see a question just like this one, very perceptive, I will not want it, it seams to me that if you are clear in your concept, this earth will be the first step for the hell Bound to stay, before they enter hell for ever, it seams to me that earth will become something like purgatory.

It wouldn't be the first time God wiped out the earth. Remember Noah... and he was a drunkard so I have heard
