depends on what you like. right now in season are grapes and pears and apples. they are all new crop. those are the basics though. if you feel like trying something new find a grocery store that sells persimmons, they are yellowy-orange in color, but WAIT till they are really soft and liquidy feeling, if you eat them while they are hard its hideous. For the regular fruit, bosc pears and asian pears are the most grainy in texture, while red and barlett pears are less so. Apples, honey crisp, gala, pink lady, they are all sweet and crunchy. red and yellow delicious, jonathan apples are sweet but more soft. Granny smith's are better for cooking, they are a bit more tart. Grapes, all are good, but perferably i enjoy the red. Hope this helps!
