Did yahoo answers send Jesus of Nazareth notice violations for "Private Correspondance"; or "Adult Content"; or some other sort of violations for the questions he was asking?

Did Jesus of Nazareth cross the line and break too many of the Yahoo Answers Community Guidelines, is that why he was crucified?

Your question is worth answering even though you had to try to cheapen it with those last comments..

The charges was that Jesus claimed to be King when only Rome to appoint a king over a province. The rulers of the Jew made a false charge before Pilot that Jesus was the leader of an insurrection that threatened the rule of Rome.. Like your comment on breaking Yahoo rules the charges the Jews brought were just as stupid... Jim

Indeed - he was crucified for being a political shyte disturber. For no other reason than pissing off the political leaders of the day...

What is interesting is that the Zealots are mostly to blame...yet Jesus was a Zealot himself. So why would they have Jesus crucified?? The Zealots at that time were attempting to expell Rome out of the holy Land. In order to do this, they had to have the Messiah written of in the OT come and remove the High Priest in the Temple of Jerusalem... The Zealots chose Jesus for this role, as he was born of Joseph and Mary - one from the House of David, one from the House of Abraham. This is what the Messiah was supposed to be. So the Zealots raised Jesus from birth and molded his life so that he would be named Messiah.

When he was named Messiah, he did not do what the Zealots wanted... Instead of casting Rome out of the Holy Land, Jesus said to "give Cesar what is his" - this was the anti-statement of what they wanted Jesus to tell the people. So they had him murdered, as this was the only way to dispose of this named Messiah....

True History is fascinating, and so much more interesting than the mythology that surrounds the religion.

to answer the question, He was charged with putting himself higher than Caesar, as the "King of the Jews" they said (which really He was saying He was the Messiah), the romans were in power then and the Jews had to live under their laws. The Jews couldnt just kill Him, they had to go to the Romans to get a conviction. Pontius Pilate found no wrong in Him, sent Him to Herod, Herod refused to make a decision, and sent Jesus back to Pilate. So they convicted Him anyways because of the political pressure they were getting from the Pharisees. Pilate thought that a good beating would be sufficient but the Jewish officials kept pressing that Jesus be crucified under defiance of Caesar. So he did it and later committed suicide because he knew he had killed an innocent man. (you can get the letters sent between pilate and herod)

Oh Jim. You're just getting your knickers in a twist because Jesus is cooler than you.

Don't sweat it. You're pretty darn cool yourself.

The "letter of the law" says he was crucified because the Romans feared a riot. Jesus ticked off the religious leaders of his day. He was just too revolutionary for their contentment.

According to the bible, Pilate was hesitant to do anything to Jesus because he had done nothing wrong. The Jewish elders and priests were threatened by the man and they wanted him dead. Pilate said that he "washed his hands" of it and gave Jesus to the priests. Consequently, i am not sure if he was actually charged with anything at all. Now, this is according to a book that in itself is very suspect as to its validity and trustfulness.

Apparently they were trying to catch him disobeying their rules and couldn't catch him until one day he was doing the unthinkable and was caught......he was working on a sunday, they found him in the fields. That is what I was led to believe as a child. To this day I have met people that will not buy milk, bread or let their children work on a sunday. (hmmmmm I wonder if they watch tv on the sabbath and if they went into labor, would they have their child at home on the couch? would they walk to the hospital only to find it was their doctor's sabbath day?)

Yes, he was a very naughty boy with a woman of ill repute. And they gave him a choice of crucifixion or castration. He chose wisely. LOL

In the Jewish court, it was for blasphemy. In the Roman, for saying He was a king, thus being disloyal to Caesar.

Because he claimed to be the son of God & would not deny it. So he was crucified
