Pascal's wager implies that its better to believe in God and he does not exist, than it is to not believe in God and he does exist.
Simple and logical.

The very earliest primitive humans feared death. The fear of death is a natural device for preserving life. They invented a way to cheat the grave. They figured that some invisible part of us remains alive even after the body is dead.
As humans increased and began to spread out all over the globe, some imagined this unseen soul would travel to a place of milk and honey, heaven. A place where they would experience none of the problems of the world they left behind, food galore, no aches and pains, never too hot or too cold.
Others pictured this invisible soul leaving the dead body and immediately entering the body of some other being, another person, an animal , insect, fish, or wharever.
They had to have someone who regulated all of this, so God or Gods were imagined. At first they imagined a God for each function or thing, God of fire, God of thunder, God of water, etc, etc.
Later, in Egypt the idea of one God was practiced then abandoned. It popped up again with the Jews, then the Christians, then the Muslims.
Okay, but you want to know what my theory of life after death is. I believe that we are a living part of the world, just like the other animals, the trees, the fish, bugs, birds, and all the rest. When we die we will return to the earth. No matter how well preserved our bodies, eventually they will be absorbed by vegetation and begin the cycle all over again.
So do I believe in life everlasting ? Sure, life as a whole, but not individual life.

God is most definitely real... However, you have to have eyes to see and ears to hear...
Here's a bit of knowledge to help you along the way... They say that a 2nd witness is the key to proving theories... Someone generally NOT involved.
Pontius Pilate kept a journal. In that journal is the description of one Jesus of Nazareth. NOW, Pilate was not a Jew or a Christian. So his account of the recording Jesus existence puts you to task.
Research to find if what Jesus said and did were TRUE or FALSE.
Another thing to think about... IF the OLD testament was truly written and prophesied over 300 times different aspects of the Birth, Life, and Death of Jesus... These prophesies were over 700 years old before Jesus of Nazareth was born... What is the mathematical probability that those predictions/prophesies could possibly be false?
A bit of Biblical trivia.. From Pilate's account is where we get the classic portrait of Jesus... Brown Hair, Blue Eyes, Ruddy Complexion...

Religion is man's way of controlling others. Or at least trying to control others.
God however, I wouldn't doubt is real for one min. Just not in the way people think. Not real sure how I think but I don't believe in religion. Religion is evil. Most followers are racist, sexist, or totally judgmental to the point of disconnecting with their own family. However, before anyone jumps at me... not all followers are this way. I've met some wonderful Christians, and Muslims who are not like this but not many. One of the nicest couple I ever met was Mennonite.

No God is not just a state of mind. If not for God, you wouldn't be here, neither would this world in which we live. Go outside and look around, do you think all of that was made by man? I don't think so. God is very much real, and I hope and pray you know him before our time is up.

Opiate . . . I like that. People rely on God when their life is so messed up that they need someone to blame for it. I say, just get back on your feet and keep trying. Believe in yourself and God will no longer be necessary.
