It sounds like one of those ridiculous names that people give to mutts they breed. For example, people who breed a cocker spaniel to a poodle call it a cockapoo. A jorgy (or gorgy) is probably a mix of a yorkie and something else. Maybe jack russell, since it starts with a "j" sound. It may be a yorkie, if the lady who spoke to has an accent or just didn't speak clearly. It may also be a corgi, which is short for welsh corgi. You can go to the AKC's website (www.akc.org) to view pictures of different breeds. Since you had no luck on Google with "jorgy" try searching for "yorkie mix" pups or something like that. You could also check websites that breed these mixed breed dogs to see if there is something similar to what your new found little friend looks like. Good luck!!

A Corgi. There are two different types, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Check out http://www.akc.org/breeds/cardigan_welsh_corgi/index.cfm
and
http://www.akc.org/breeds/pembroke_welsh_corgi/index.cfm
for more info. On the left side of the page you can click to learn the breeds' history and see photos.
Be prepared, though, since you found this pup it is most likely a mixed breed. Nothing wrong with that, though! Congrats on taking in this little guy and attempting to find his owners and getting him the proper care.
Good luck!

The answer would be a Welsh Corgi, a herding dog with short legs and somewhat of a long body, though much thicker than a weiner dog and much more attractive!
There are two types of Corgis, a Pembroke that has some black on it, and a Cardigan that is usually red and white.

Are you sure she didn't say Corgi? there are 2 different types of corgi..the Pembroke and the Cardigan. The are both built pretty much the same, the markings are different and one usually has a tail while the other doesn't.

I bet the word was "CORGI"
Wow- did you get lucky.
My grandfather had those dogs for 50 years.
I handled a whole kennelful in AKC obedience for a breeder
Super little herding dogs - sturdy, loyal, devoted and smart.
There are two types: Pembroke (stub of a tail) and Cardigan (long tail)
The favorite of the Queen of England - seriously
Go here to see them:
