Your best bet would be to get another car. You could get a similar Mondeo, probably a newer one for less money than you have spent on this one already. I would say that when the cambelt snapped it's likely a valve has dropped into the engine slightly which may have caused fractional damage to the connection point between te gasket and the block. This would create the pressure in te colant system that warped the radiator and never allowed the system to de-pressurise until you released it by opening the cap. It would be unusual but the symptoms you describe all point to this.

Oh dear! OK its like this what you have already spent and what you spend to sort this out you may as well just fit a re-con engine,
or even worse get another car.
Loads of mondeos about and well cheap too...
most of the previous answers are right at suggesting head gasket, as the heating is going hot and cold i would say its had a major airlock causing it to starve of water.
If its hot enough to blow the rad like that chance is its cooked the gasket again.
GOOD LUCK

head gasket was installed wrong or was the wrong head gasket. the heat problem sounds like a air pocket in the system. but 9 times out of 10 an over heating roblem wont blow a radiator up. do a cylinder leak down test and see if compression is entering the cooling system

Have the car towed to a well known mechanic with experience. Where you can get some warranty on the work for the car. The heat and cold problem is that you need a new thermos stat or heat core.

If you are blowing out brand new radiators you have engine compression going in there which is not supposed to be doing that! Head Gasket comes to mind, or valve job was done incorrectly! Need to get it to a GOOD mechanic for diagnosis and repair!

It's probably because the car is 13 years old.
It's knackered mate, end of story. You'll end up spending more money keeping a decrepid vehicle on the road than you would by scrapping the thing and buying yourself a new car that won't cost you as much to maintain.

Take it back to where you got it fixed. I believe they either installed the head gasket wrong or they didn't bleed the air out of the cooling system properly. Either way the shops work should be guaranteed for at least one month or more. Take it to them and don't take any s--t from them!

I would guess that the heating system hasnt been bled of air properly giving air locks but you will need to get that checked.
