Are you talking about the veil again Mr Straw?

Regarding your enquiry on etiquette. I would like to assure you that asking for the removal of a veil to facilitate face to face dialogue is not the same as asking someone you don't know to undress in front of you. If you require an unknown female to undress you should be aware that this is deemed to be a service often provided by lap dancers and/or strippers. However, I think it on fair to warn you that as with most serrvices.......which as a minister of the crown you will be aware, charges apply.

It depends entirely on who you are and what your motives are. It's perfectly in order for a male doctor to do this, although professional etiquette requires a female to be in attendance, hovering in the background somewhere. Likewise an artist who has come to a commercial arrangement with a female is entitled to do so, or the teacher of an art class where the female is posing nude by arrangement. Brothel etiquette probably permits the making of this request.

I used to do it all the time. I was an art student. You should be aware that to many women undressing in front of a man is like giving him an invitation to have sex with them.

Why not strip off in the middle of your town and then ask everyone woman you see to strip off as well. Try to choose a woman who is accompanied by a bloke at least 6 feet tall.

I'll give you 30 seconds before you:

a) get a smack in the teeth by the bloke
b) get arrested.

In fact if you choose a woman accompanied by a policeman you could save time.

By the way - you are a ****!

It isn't now, but you know something? You and I could make it acceptable. I think we need to start a trend by asking the next woman we see to undress in front of us. We should also drink martinis and inspect thier naked bodies with our monacles. It will rule.

To the future!

Absolutely. Ask away. Ask the woman on the corner selling magazines. Ask the woman behind the counter at 7-11. Ask the female cop who pulls you over for speeding.

I'm going to take a good guess here and suggest that this guy asking the question is just trying to be as a big a d*** as possible. He knows the answer to the question, he is simply being an arrogant a**.

Traditionally etiquette is the conformity to polite set standards, I fail to see how sticking a bag over your head is polite.
