Why do all these priests molest little kids when they are "men of god"? How can you people support this kind of barbarianism?

Ofcourse not. How could you be serious with this question. Those men in my opinion where not called by God if they were then they wouldnt do stuff like that. In my opinion the whole Catholic Church and its believers is crazy

Obviously by your question you are trying to get a rise out of everyone and you are succeeding. And there has been a few priests out there who have molested children, same with police officers, teachers, parents, etc.... And nobody in there right mind supports this as you well know. You can tell that the kids have a day off from school today by the questions you have been asking in your profile. Go outside and play!

Rather than give you links and/or advice that may make things even more difficult for you, I'd like to suggest that you set up an appointment for some counseling. Many towns have free or inexpensive clinics that will help you work through your issues. Please understand that I'm not being critical or judgmental about your situation -- far from it. All I'm saying is that the advice you get here on Y!A is free. . .and sometimes that's about what it's worth, too. Carrying around a burden of guilt and shame is not what Christ would want for you. Please find someone that you can talk to about your feelings and how to deal with them. That's probably going to take more than just one session, which is another reason why this Forum isn't really the place to seek information. God bless you, and I'll pray for you.

Let me try to help.
A. No one is "supporting" these priests. No one with any sense of morality would support this kind of depravity, and you know this. Christians are just as appalled by this behavior as you are.
B. Despite sensationalized media coverage and a nasty stereotype, all priests do NOT hurt children. Not most priests. Not "many" priests. An unfortunate few whose cases have been widely publicized.
You would do well to remember these things.
... Don't preach to me about the diocese, whoever you are. For every diocese that has reassigned a bad priest, two more have publicly condemned them. I work in the media. I've followed every story. Do some research.

No one supports them
They are people. They are fragile. They screw up.
Don't toss out the whole barrel because you find one bad apple.
There are corrupt cops. Should we do away with police? Corrupt politicians - well, bad example there I think everyone would like to do away with politicians.
Statistically - it is far more likely for a child to be abused by their own parents or a close relative than a priest or a stranger.
Should we take all children away from their parents?
Dear Figato - the Protestants also have along history of persecuting Catholics. If you compare a map of the "burning times" to a map of Protestant "revolutionaries" - you'll find the two almost identical. They weren't burning witches, they were burning Catholics.

Uh, no, he doesn't. If you would read the words of Jesus you would find Him to be a kind, gentle, loving teacher. He is also holy, righteous and just and does not tolerate sin such as molestation of children.
Who supports barbarianism???? You are misguided and I suggest you actually READ the teachings of Jesus so you can get your facts straight.

No Jesus didn't tell priests to molest kinds. God gave us free choice and sometimes people make very bad choices. Jesus said to love one another...I don't think molestation, or the fear and feelings of empowerment it creates, falls into that.

Those are not "priests" any more than crooks dressing up in a policeman's uniform are police.
Those are homosexuals who have infiltrated the clergy, which failed to keep them out in the manner that the Boy Scouts succeeded (and they were condemned for keeping them out of their organization by liberals).
Now that you see what happens, will you apologize to the Scouts?

No Jesus doesnt tell them. But according to their beleifs, it would seem that this is God's Will that the children be abused.... "We cannot understand the mind of God!"
Maybe He has a higher purpose in having a preteen boy's anus assaulted by a priest??? I cant imagine what purpose that might be, but then again, we will never understand God's mind....

because these people are taking advantage of your trust......if you think you can trust every policeman, every priest, every family member.....you are wrong. Many people look and act the part.......don't be fooled! Always be suspicious no matter how great you think someone is.
