Revolution doesn't prevent ear mites. What kind of drops are you using in the kittie's ears? Using a few drops of teatree oil or vegetable oil in the ears a couple times a day will get rid of ear mites. you have to do it for about a week.

Please note, that ear mites can be very dangerous. These mites can work themseves clear into the brain, lay eggs, and cause a very slow and painful death. Fleas also have major drawbacks. They can get into places you never dream of and cause all kinds of undetectable problems. So going to the vet for fleas is not something to scorn. It could save lots of grief down the road. Have the vet look into the ears, and you will know for sure. Its all about love.

Your kitten should definitely have a vet as I hope he has been given basic vaccinations and plans for neutering him should be on the books.

If he does have a vet sometimes a call is all it takes to see if he needs to go into the office or not.

The best solution for ear mites is the ivermectin shot which gets rid of them right away. The drops are frequently ineffective and you can treat, treat, treat and still not get rid of them. They are nasty little buggers and not as bad as a ringworm infestation.

I clean my cats ears with a product called BasicH2 its is a natural product. I mix 1/2tsp to 2 cups of water and either use paper towel or a cotton pad and apply it to her ears. She is now free of ear mites. You order this product on Shaklee.ca

Your cat might have a plain old ear infection...take it to the vet and they can scrape the canal and test it.

No matter where you live, fleas and ticks aren't extinct. Check with a vet please.
