I don't know of any direct correlation between caffeine and aging, but there's definitely a connection between dehydration and looking a lot older. The less moisture your skin has to stay plump, the more it will shrivel and make icky wrinkles.
Caffeine is a diuretic, so if you drink a lot of it, you'll need even more than your normal 'healthy' amount of water per day... and I don't know many people that drink enough water as is! :)
Hope this helps.

I stay away from caffeine and all products of. Ever since I got pregnant for the 1st time 8 years ago and they said it could wreck the baby's nervous system, I have steered clear as it has detrimental effects on all humans not just baby's!! This is my own preference, but I have lived a good life and there are many alternatives to coffee and many teas and pops are caffeine free these days!! There is a large selection of non caffeinated beverages. Besides my favorite drink is water.

Like other people said here, tea has more caffeine than coffee. That said, it is possible that caffeine did not agree with your skin. As a rule, since caffeine is stimulant, it could cause different results in different people. That said, my best friend drinks 3 cups of coffee every day and her skin is gorgeous.

The environment, wind sun dry air heat make the skin age faster.
Bad Chemicals from smoke, air pollution are next
then in the diet lack of water, bad foods with sugar.
Two cups of coffee a day are not a problem.

If you use caffeine as a topical, it is suppose to diminish the appearance of cellulite. It is a firmer, so I don't really think caffeine is bad for you. The only time it is bad, is when you put sugar, and cream in it. When you drink coffee black, it is suppose to be good for your heart, and it, of course, revs your metabolism.

Have not heard that it makes your skin age (have heard that it could protect against skin cancer).
Could be that you were sleeping better because of having less caffeine and that made you look fresher?
