Im trying to build an electric vehicle but I need a drive motor. Can Anyone suggest a regular item that I can use to aquire one?
Please Im not nuts I just thought it might be a fun project.

There are several choices for an appropriate electric vehicle motor - you probably don't want a washer/drier motor - those motors are designed for AC, not the DC that comes from batteries. Starter motors for jet engines used to be popular among the electric-vehicle crowd, because they're not big but they can put out a lot of power and they run well on DC.
