Depression would be a symptom of something much more serious. Usually a person who cuts or otherwise hurts themselves has suffered a sever trauma , usually as a child, and the memory of it is repressed.
There are several possible diagnoses. Post Traumatic Stress, multiple personality, borderline personality, an affective or dissociative disorder of some kind, Whatever it is, is serious, and could eventually lead to suicide. Whoever it is, get help now, even as an inpatient if needed. People have gotten past these disorders and so can you.
Don't delay and Good Luck to you.

Paul did not reject the bodily international. He did not meet Jesus in individual earlier than he died, however he did meet Jesus after his resurrection, that's why it looks to you that he 'renounced any talents of Jesus by way of human resources'. He was once simply being sincere approximately how he met him. As for matters obvious and unseen, Paul is not rejected this existence (he has lots to mention approximately it), however he is refuting the notion that this existence is all there's. This existence should be considered within the mild of our everlasting fate, and that is whilst matters are going to be ideal and accomplished (as an alternative than on this existence). But Paul rejected any strategies that the bodily international did not subject. His writings are stuffed with his arguments towards that belief. So of direction Paul might have authorised the running, speaking, truly existence Jesus. That's the Jesus he preached.

HOw are they destroying their life? Like addictions to drugs/alcohol/cigarettes/food?

Sometimes they just don't care about themselves anymore. Marijuana eventually makes you not care about anything.

COuld well be depression, low self-esteem. OR they could be angry and are hurting themselves to hurt whomever they are angry at.

Many addictions serve a purpose. Some people eat or use drugs or have sex to numb out their emotional feelings. Some people cut on themselves to make their emotional pain into a physical pain (which is easier to deal with). THis is true especially in people who were abused as children.
