Do NOT put your hair in a bun - you will wind up with funky waves and dips that will be impossible to get out without wetting your hair and starting all over. Maybe you were referring to a wrap, these work well on people I know that have done it, I personally haven't tried one.

Also, try a flat iron. I get much straighter, smoother results with the iron than I ever got with a blow dryer. I bought the Conair Infiniti for $40 but I'm looking to upgrade to a Chi for around $100. I've been told the higher quality irons, although more expensive, give much better results. You have to take small sections at a time and keep the iron moving, don't rest on any area or you will overheat and damage the hair. Make sure your ends are well conditioned and that you've had a trim recently. I wasn't conditioning the ends well enough and was getting flyaways at the ends. It's better since I got a good conditioner but I still need a trim to make it really nice. That brings me to styling products, I like Bumble and Bumble - I use their Tonic Shampoo, Leave in (rinse out) conditioner (I rinse it out) and their Tonic Lotion sprays. I got great results last night using their products.

Good luck!!

My daughter had her hair straightened at a beauty salon. They did it free, as she was the model, if not the model, it would have cost over $500, but it sure was straight and so beautiful. Dried her hair out, but she loved it and just extra condition every day. Perhaps see if the beauty college needs a model for it, but there will be a list, as it is a great treatment and many girls want it.

Get a ceramic flat iron, conair makes them, and revlon, and loads of other people.

If I put mine up at night wet, I'll have kinks and dents where the pins were. I'd try some of the shampoo that's meant for straight, smooth hair, that should help.

I have long straight shiny hair. My friends keep telling me, I have a hair "to die" for.....and my secret for having such a beautiful hair is..... well---........ -By NOT DOING ANYTHING WITH IT-. I have never put any chemicals stuff in my hair... never tie it while it's wet. Never go to sleep while my hair still wet. Never blow dry my hair... just let it dry but its self. Using the right shampoo & conditioner....(SUNSILK for straight hair *purple*). I only use shampoo & conditioner EVERYOTHER DAY, but you still need to shower of course, just cover it with a net! And at last... having a mom who has a pretty straight hair wouldn't hurt either!!!!

Use comb...not brush.... Comb your hair a lot....=) keeps your hair shiny!!! =)

Use daily a good brand hair conditioner- allow the hair conditioner to remain on your head for full 3 minutes.

1)Get a nice shampoo and conditioner, plus a nice heat defense spray(Loreal is brilliant!)
Invest in some ghds, you can get a great deal off ebay.

2)Yes the bun does work! I use it and then scrunch the tiniest bit of moose in; in the morning.

ok, you need to always use conditioner, and then blowdry your hair but make sure you are brushing while you browdry to keep down the friz. then use a ceramic straightening iron slowly-don't forget the back. finally get a smoothing cream- you can find it anywhere, i use sheer blonde, anything that says that it eliminates friz, and then just smooth it over the ends to make it super smooth.

if you want it really really straight then I suggest you get a flat iron. I use one even though my hair is straight. And don't forget to buy heat protection product for your hair before straightening it.

If you put your hair up when it's wet, and then take it out when it's dry it'll be wavy.
