Does anyone have experience on how to quit. Cut the doses in half, or skip every other day? What symptoms did you experience?

No doctor right now unless an emergency. No medical insurance as I lost my job a while ago. Have 2 months left Rx left.

i'd cut it in half OR take it every other day so that way you are slowy going off of it and might reduse the risk of those awful side effects from withdrawl.

If it's an SSRI, you'll probably feel the same as Paxil quitters.

Cut doses by the smallest mg and stick with that for 2-3 weeks. DO NOT skip days.

I was on 40mg a day, cut the pill in half and took 20mg for a week, cut that in half to 10mg for another week, and tried 5mg for 2 or 3 days and then that was it.
No side effects because the weening was gradual.
I suggest the same.

If you are taking Celexa, you obviously have a doctor that prescribed it. If you want off, you HAVE to SLOWLY go off. Talk to your doctor about a schedule. I am going off Effexor as I write this and it's hell, but it is different for everyone. Whatever you do, don't go cold turkey!

call the drug manufactur or go to their website and see if they have a prescription assistance program for people who are low income. Thats how my pateints do it.
