What do you think about the idea if anyone is found to be crossing the border illegally tell them you have a choice turn around go back or we will give you a canteen,firearm and ammo go to Iraq fight for the country get paid soilders pay minus taxes and when the war is over you can become a citizen and will be able to vote and pay taxes.

I'm not saying your idea is good or bad. The US did this back in the Civil War with Irish immigrants (see the movie "Gangs of New York").
One problem I see with this idea is that a lot of the immigrants are unable to speak or understand English 100%. How do you propose they learn the language FAST enough to be placed in imminent danger and be able to defend themselves AND their fellow soldiers? Just a question.

A illegal person CAN't join the forces!!!!
why people talk, why??? With no idea.Just repeating whatever they listen on the street.Get a life people, please,get a life, Do something for yourself, something productive please!
Residents are the ones who join the forces to become citizen quicker.
Get it? Obviously you have no idea about immigration, and post questions just because it's free.
First you become a US resident ( with most of the benefits but you can't vote or have a passport)
and then after 5 years you can be an American Citizen.
Get it? Too hard for you to understand?

I disagree with this idea. They should be legible for drafting, sure, but if legal aliens cannot take this path to citizenship then neither should illegals. By the way, everybody is legible for drafting, including green card carriers (who are not able to vote), but illegals are still not.

No I want someone that loves this nation and wants to help defend it to be in the military.Not someone to be forced to do it.Most illegals seem to have an immense love/hate relationship going on with this nation.The love to come here and make money and be able to send it home ,but they want to change this country into the country that they left.They hate our laws ,our language,our people,and our flag.So no I don't want any one that hates America defending this country.

Your thought is interesting, drafting was big during the Vietnamese War, it didn't work, many defected to Canada, were perceived as traitors and defectors by their families and Americans. Just because they didn't want to kill anyone. They were very young, and it was those who could not afford to go on to post secondary education, either because of means or low grades.
Can't you put yourself in the shoes of the people trying to make it to America, "the land of the free".
It is just a coincidence that you were born there and not in Mexico or Iraq, count your blessing and try to be a bit more generous and compassionate towards your neighbors. God Bless.

I am not completely against that idea, but it could backfire if some of them were that desperate.
I understand that is one way that people are already getting here anyhow. I could be wrong.

When a nation has others fight for her and has people from other nations do all their menial work, that nation soon crumbles.

Hmm, sounds good. It would prove their willingness to be a loyal member of this nation, give them an economic start, and give them time to adjust to the language.
