I have an 8 month old dachshund and she has not had a heat cycle, but i have noticed on 2 occasions that she has leaked this brown smelly liquid, and I am not sure if it is coming from her anus or her female part, could this stuff be part of her heat cycle?

The *average* puppy comes into heat between 6-9 months old, but some as late as 2 years. The brown smelly liquid is probably coming from her anus. It is probably her anal glands getting expressed, which is completely normal. They are normally expressed when a dog defecates, but sometimes when they walk. I wouldn't worry about your pup unless the liquid becomes excesive or if you notice it coming out of her *womanly area*.

Yes, my miniature Pomeranian is just about three years historical and he or she's nonetheless now not housebroken. It takes a even as. Sometimes you could simply have a tricky dog. Take it external to visit the toilet each hour or so. And while it is within out of it is crate purchase a few of the ones pee pads that they are able to cross on. They relatively aid. Especially in case you have carpet. They scent the pad and it makes them realize it's alright to pee on. As for the crate at night time, I can not relatively aid you on that one due to the fact that my puppy sleeps with me at night time. But rather than that, well good fortune!

Sometimes dogs do not come into their first cycle until 10 months of age.
It sounds like the leakage is coming from her behind because her menstral blood should not smell foul.
Give her a couple more months....let nature takes its course & she'll come around when she's supposed to!
Good Luck!!

the heat will be blood. The smelly is the anus.
