Please tell this person to go to the doctor ASAP. My mother had a bloody stool for 8 years. She finally went to the doctor when she was in severe pain. She was told that it was a polyp that had grown into a cancerous tumor. She died of colon cancer at the age of 41. It's very possible that if she would have had it checked out much sooner, she could still be alive today.

Could be hemmoriods or polyps, or a tear in the anal cavity. It is not something to self diagnose, anyone experiencing this should see a doc asap!!

If the bleeding is really bad they may need to caterize it to stop the flow. If it is hemmoroids, they can give you suppositories to use, and cream. If it is polyps they may have to remove them.
