I want people to explain to me why their beliefs is the way to god, or is the way to man, however you perceive it to be.
Christians give me a scripture that you feel is powerful, pagans explain to me why so many people feel you are evil. And for the rest just tell me why your beliefs are better.
This is not a way to poke fun I respect everyones way, I just would like a perspective on different views and how it has changed your life. Do not feel that your words should be short

We are "evil" because we are outside the "norm". We believe in the Goddess not God although there is a God represented in our beliefs. Our ways were considered heathen in nature and still are although we are becoming more widely excepted. We were "evil" because we did not follow the Catholic church which wanted absolute power over all people. Some of our rituals can be deeply sexual in nature for we are considered sexual beings, which makes us taboo, although nothing like the "mass orgy" some like to preach about.

We use prayer and ceremony like any one else, and alot of our rituals were adapted by the church to help make us convert, although it didn't work and most still practiced the beliefs handed down to them from their ancestors.

Most of our rituals are done at night and on the nights of full or new moon, which makes it seem dark and forbidden when in all truths thats when spiritual power is greatest. Also thanks to the Catholic Church we were forced to worship under the cover of night, so as not to persecuted.

I feel hurt when judge because I don't judge others for their beliefs and wish they would show me the respect I show them. I was raised in the Christian Church yet it never felt true to me, I never felt whole, so I choose a different path, and while I am new and still learning I feel at peace with my decision, and more comfortable with my beliefs than ever before. Yes I sometimes fear what family will say or do, and have been slowly making my beliefs open to them but people judge you, even your own family. It can be hard sometimes but I stand firm.

I hope this helps and answers your question. I respect you for your honesty and curiousity. Blessed be.

My beliefs aren't a way to crap for anyone except me, hence why I'd never push them on anyone.

I wrote out quite a bit of this in an answer last night; scroll maybe a third of the way down, and there I am. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhAgSzQpb6ECebuKQtFoFXjsy6IX?qid=20061019120902AAI7l3b
