My husband and I both did and we are so happy and proud of ourselves for it. Not having sex before marriage has protected us from STDs, un-wanted pregnancies, and alot of heartache. Plus we gave each other something very special, and we have a very deep and passionate sex life. We love each other so much, and we are closer to one another because of waiting. Keeping your virginity until marriage is something that you will never regret. Losing it to someone whom your are not married to is something alot of people regret. And you hear people say "would you buy a pair of shoes without trying them on?" etc. But sex for the first time with just anyone is not any good anyways, so why waste it. Great sex is something you LEARN how to have over time, wouldn't you rather learn that with your husband instead of some random guy, or boyfriend you won't spend you life with? Save yourself sweetie. You have your whole life to have sex. It's not old-fashioned, my husband and I are both 24 and we have been married for only 3 years. We don't have any jealousy toward old boyfriends or girlfriends. And we are alot closer than other couples who didn't wait until marriage. Stay strong! You will be so glad you did!

It used to be very important thousands of years ago but as things evolved, it became less important as the media publicises sex and sexiness.

But i would say, that do what suits you. Someone can have one-night stands as a habit and for another, it will be depressing to even let a guy kiss them. In other words, one man's meat is another man's poison.

Don't be intimidated or pressured by anybody to do it before marriage until when you are truly, truly ready. Sex is pleasurabl but it has its downsides. Once you start, unfortunately, you can never stop. As for me, i would have loved to keep myself but it didn't work out that way. I love sex but i'm not promiscous either. Some believe that you should have a trial to know if you're compatible but they are non-virgins, that's why they can talk like that. How do they expect an inexperienced person to know which is which if they haven't tried it before.

They might think virginity is old-fashioned but with all the STDs, AIDS, unwanted pregnancies and all, its still the most preached thing (abstinence included) but its still sacred in the Bible. In the end, only you have the final say where you want your privates to travel.

Me personally I don't think so maybe because I lost mine at 15 and now I am going on 21. Never-mind that.

This really depends on the person whether it's important or not. I look at the situation like why "save" myself when the chances of me marrying someone that is pure. I think the chances are slim to none. Why would you save yourself for someone who has had sex with half of the city.

I say it's really not all important to wait till marriage but have sex when your ready and comfortable. Thats whats important.

I can't tell you how many times I've wished I could take back time and never have sex with anyone in my past. I wish that I could go to my husband on our wedding day (which is 4 months and 28 days away woo!) totally pure. Sex is an awesome thing, and it's ordained by God as good.... but in the context of marriage. Maybe that sounds archaic, but the truth is, sex always includes more than bodies... no matter how hard you try to say it means nothing. to put it simply, each time you have sex with someone, a little piece of your heart goes to that person. That means, the more people you sleep with, the less heart you have to give to your husband! Yes. It's very hard to wait until marriage (hello I couldn't do it), especially with the way entertainment bombards us with sex. I believe the only way to stay pure is to have a strong relationship with God. Even if you're not a Christian, abstinence is still the best way to go... you don't have to worry about pregnancy, STDs, and of course heartaches.

No ~ while I say that, I also believe that it is best to keep it until you are old enough and ready enough to handle the responsibility that goes along with it. Should you become pregnant or pregnate someone are the two of you able to support yourselves as well as a baby? I live with my partner and we are very happy, however, both he and I had sex with others before meeting one another. You wouldn't buy a car if you hadn't test drove it ~ would you??? Sex is an important part of a love relationship. If it isn't good, then you might want to choose to move on and find another one to love.

Yes it is important and means you have achieved something and you have resisted temptations. If you are religious then it is important to wait.

Wait and after marriage you can have sex there after. It is morally wrong and trust me if you wait till marriage and do it on your first night it will be so good. It will be like all you lust has been kept inside you and then you open it out after waiting for that day for so long.

You will also not feel guilty.

Well it so sacred in conservative societies like India, China and Middle East, etc and that too excluding the bi cities there.
As the big citiy culture is just like the western culture where people have to have sex before marriage as they can't find enough of each other without that.
And that too is changing. Couples prefer to live together as long as they wish without ever marrying. So thats the new trend specially in big cities. And that is a sure sign of downfall of a society like Europe is going through--their families and society is breaking apart.
So what I am trying to say that their has to be some level of discipline and commitment in any society for it to hold; which you consider as sacred and as line of control.

I believe the answer that question depends on the person. I honestly wished I would have kept my virginity till marriage. Sometimes when I think about what I have done sexually in the past it disgusts me. Sometimes I think about it while I have sex with my husband. It completly turns me off.

It depends on what you think is best for you. I'm not a fan of saying wait, I mean sex is important and if you are not compatible with that person sexually, it could be a disaster in the relationship. If one person likes having it a lot, if the other person doesn't.... if the sex is bad. You won't know until you're married. It sounds stupid, but it's true. But if you wanna wait until you're married, go for it. I guess there is something sweet about saving yourself. But if you don't wait, just make sure you're as safe as you can be!

Yes,AND THATS NOT JUST FOR THE LADIES. There is a bond made when two people bond in sex.Their minds and bodies come together as one. They will generally stay together longer if not untill death,so it is very important.Look how people are now they sleep with each other because of the way a person looks. There is very little trust and they break up two minutes later. You can see it for your self averyday it happens.
