I know lots of people who would be happy if I did. Should we make it fashionable just to get at the government? and people that keep incessantly objecting?

I think this country's multi culturism is amazing, but it scares me slightly that a minority of a minority (and lets face it that is what it is!) seem to be able to dictate the news. Our fault? maybe...but i just want to know if the teaching assistant wore her face veil to her interview. If she did then her employers are at fault for taking up Jack Straw's comments, if she didnt then i can only say she knew that it would upset the children..so then she has manipulated the media it all.
oh deary me Mrsb I come over all peculiar there, all serious!!! Help me .. im scared...oh nooo the fog on the tyne is rising to get me...ugh ugh ugh...f a r e w e l l

Wow, what a thought - presume you mean the whole black number - no worries about what to wear, fat bums, wobbly thighs, bad hair days, spots, make-up... roll out of bed, just pull the thing on; don't have to wash hair because no-one knows who you are, can wear odd socks and old trainers......
The only thing is, I do like to glam up a bit on a Saturday night, so could someone design a sparkly number, a BBD?

Well I have seen a few people that definitely needs to...and I would not complain if the govenment forced it on certain people...probably wouldn't be too bad an idea if I was one of them...But some people I would not agree...I even get upset when guys who have a cute bootie has it covered with a long shirt...that should be illegal...

Veils on Jack Straw and Gordon Brown would be a definite improvement.

Veils? Did I miss something? Why would you wear a veil?
If the sole reason is to get at the government, you can definately count me in :)

“ And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and
guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and
ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they
should draw veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty
except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their
sons...”

totally not....this is england ppl who want to live here need to respect our country and way of life just like they expect respect from us wen they come here. i personally think veils should b banned from this country its not how we live it makes ppl stand out and they do cause problems among our varied culture. for a child being taught by a person with a veil covering their face would b frightening as would a child seeing ppl walking down the street wearing one. ban veils is wot i say and if ppldont like it than they have no right to b here , we live in peace with many cultures no body should come here and try to change this, they should respect it.
