Oh my....
I haven't experienced this, but I would imagine you should contact your doctor ASAP. Leaving gauze in you for an extended length of time could have caused some problems (in a more drastic case, it could cause something similar to Toxic Shock System). Any foreign body has the potential to cause problems.
It's normal to have a stomach ache for days or weeks after delivery, what with your body trying to get back on track, and the cramps that occur when your uterus is getting back to its original size. If you nurse, those cramps can get worse at those times. Once again, though, I don't think (but I don't know for sure) it's supposed to last that long, though.
I think you should definately call your doctor or a nurse hotline (some hospitals have a toll-free number you can call and leave a message, and a registered nurse will call you back within minutes, any time of the day).
If you're experiencing a fever or nausea along with this, I would seek emergency treatment.
It could be caused by any number of things (and unless your doctor/nurse commented on how much blood you lost, losing a LOT of blood post-partum is 100% normal.) If you're referring to having lost a lot of blood DURING pregnancy, that's a different thing, though.
Either way, especially given the gauze incident, I would call your doctor or a nurse.
Best of luck to you!

First you should have a check up and after it has been confirmed that you don't have foreign matter in your uterus, womb, birth canal it maybe blood cloth present inside the womb. I got rid of my bleeding and all the clots by drinking tea made up of ginger and saffron (sweetened but strong). You may even try a hot stout or castor oil. All of these can help bring the blood clots flowing out. I drank these things and I stopped bleeding after i had my baby. If these don't work then i suggest you go to a specialist. Hope this helps. Good luck

Seriously, you need to go to the emergency room and have the doctor check you out. If the resident doctor left a forgien object in your birth canal, you could have an infection from that. It could be dangerous and fatal. When it comes to that, us women can not play with our health. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Breast feeding will cause the uterus to cramp, but it should've stopped after 3 months. I had hideous pain after the birth of my 1st son, and they found out I had cysts on my ovary. I had a shot to dissolve them, and was fine. Either way, go to the doc ASAP- better safe than sorry. Congrats on the baby.

You need to be checked for infection. Toxic shock or another type of infection could be present. I have given birth 4 times and have had one miscarriage and have never experienced any type of pain except for episiotomy suture pain. I'd definately be calling my ob/gyn and getting tested.

go to the er if that resident left something in you, you can have a toxic infection and if you keep breast feeding you may pass it to the baby. so go get yourself checked out

When you breastfeed, your uterus contracts, that could be causing the cramping.
