My situation was a little different, we met on a trip and he always lived in Indiana and I always lived in Michigan. That's pretty close, about a five hour drive. We stayed together for three years but eventually I called the quits. My reasons were more for personal growth reasons (not done w/school, young, etc) than for distance. It's very hard to do, you have to really trust each other. How long is he staying in TX? If he doesn't really (serioiusly) plan to move, it might be best to break it off before too long. It can be done, but realistically the odds are a little against you. Distance is a great measure of how true your relationship is. If it's the real thing, you'll survive the hardships distance presents you. I encourage you by all means, but think carefully about the future and understand that distance makes the couple have to "work" harder at the relationship. Good luck!

I've had a "LDR" for 6 months, I live in GA and he lives in VA; it's been hard for me b/c my love requires receiving a lot of attention; we talk on the phone numerous times a day and visit every other month.
The hardest part for me has been sexually, b/c I am at the peek of sexuality but I have remained faithful to myself and b/f.
I have two more yrs into this LDR and then we plan to marry.
You need to trust each other and do not dwell on negative issues. Keep yourself busy so that you don't allow your mind to drift off into worrying about what he is or is not doing.

Yes I think it can since you are in a relationship already. Set a predefine time to talk, be honest, give more love and understanding and set a future plan that you guys will settle together for good, something to look forward to, and it will work.
