sounds like a bladder infection...it is fairly common after having a catheter........see your doctor about antibiotic and drink cranberry juice and alot of water. the pain during urination could also be from the irritation from the catheter but the back pain is probably a UTI ( urinary tract infection ) Good Luck.

It sounds like a kidney infection to me, which is a common side-effect of having a catheter inserted/removed. You really need to see a doctor, because the only way to treat a kidney infection is with antibiotics. Good luck..

It sounds as if you have picked up a Urinary Tract Infection, this often happens when a catheter has been inside your bladder. Make an appointment with your Doc and take a urine specimen with you, antibiotics will clear it up for you, take care.

Foley catheters can introduce infection into your urinary tract. It sounds like you have a kidney infection now (you feel kidney pain in your back). You need to see a doctor and get on antibiotics ASAP.

If it's just a grumbling pain, it may be just be your body healing internally from having the catheter in and should eventually go away. If it doesn't improve within the next few days or the pain gets worse, then I would go to the doctor and get it checked out.

you have a urinary tract infection that is turning into a kidney infection on the right. See an MD to get a Rx for an antibiotic right away.

Yahoo Answers is not a panel of doctors or nurses!

Get on the phone and ask someone from a clinic, hospital, any nurse would know.

Take care of it so you don't continue worrying - perhaps over nothing!
