This age seems to have few heroes. Perhaps that is why we flock to the DC and Marvel movies, and movies like Flags of our Fathers. Besides, who would want to be a hero in this day and age? The moment someone does something heroic, the drive-by media is there to rip them to shreds because they uttered the "n" word when reciting Tom Sawyer in 3rd grade or ignored a panhandler on the street corner.

John Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Lou Dobbs, Jack Cafferty, Barak Obama, and Dogg the Bounty Hunter. I chose these because they typify the real American Experience. They speak out, unafraid to look at the real issues from all angles and then brave enough to give the truth. Each one in their own way is a symbol of what our forefathers had in mind when drafting the Constitution. Dogg stands for right and justice, Obama stands for unity, Lou stands for truth, Jack stands for common sense, John stands for parody (As was done even during the American Revolution), Stephen stands for the cynical sarcastic view. I believe we should look toward more people like that to uncover what is wrong to make it right. Perhaps then we can start the making of heroes for tomorrow.
