I'm thinking of getting it as a gift for my husband. I mainly want to know how long it takes to cook regular white rice. If you've tried it, let me know how you like it.

I have one, they are amazing,rice will take at the most 15min, it shuts of automatically,and is on the warmer cycle until your ready to use it.GET ONE NOW.

Whats a PC rice cooker. There is a microwave version available which i adore. You can pick it off a shelf in any walmart and comes for around $5. maybe not an appropriate gift, but very practical and no effort.. It cooks a cup of rice in about 15 minutes.
My preferred method - for basmati rice. For 1 cup of rice , soak it in about 2 1/4 cups of water for about 1/2 hr before you microwave it for 15 minutes. Comes out great

I saw it advertised on TV yesterday, for $39.95 it looks very nice. Since all PC products carry the Loblaws guarantee, you cant lose...

Rice cookers are all great.... I'm not familiar with the PC brand...
and tell Dress? to please get a rice cooker instead of using the microwave....
Basmati should never be that complicated to prepare....
