Sometimes guys are just as shy as women sometimes. Maybe you could ask him out. If thats just not going to work then you could simply hint at things. For example I really want to see "Movie Title" but I have no one to go with, things like that. Good Luck!

I like that answers above. But I would definitely say to ask him, because I find it very sexy and attractive when a woman goes after something that she wants. It's hot, just suck it up and ask him you won't regret.
