Kissing is just that...kissing, using the lips. "Petting" as it is commonly referred to, suggested using the hands to explore the other person's body. This can become very dangerous, as it arouses both sexes and can often lead to other sexual activity. This is especially scary for youth who are inexperienced with handling their feelings and saying "no" when they get themselves into a difficult situation. I'd suggest for young teens not to get involved in petting because after some time, the natural "what's next" comes up. Kissing is suddenly no longer good enough, then even the touching isn't enough, and before you know it, young people find themselves in difficult sexual situations, before they are mature enough to handle the consequences.

The difference is that kissing is just that...

Kissing is with lips...heave petting usually means playing with privates....and yes, it leads to Sex....Be careful and safe.
