I means "yo"
you can mean "tu" or "usted" and that depends on who you are addressing.
"tu" is used for those people who you are close with (friend, boy/girlfriend) "usted" is used for people you have just met, people you deal with in regular everyday situations (doctor's office, restaurant) and sometimes for your elders (and this depends on the country you live in)
