Parent's are getting lazy these days about sitting down and having a 30 minute talk with their kids. Most of them won't do it because they may be to nervous when it comes time. At least in schools the subject is gauranteed and it'll actually mean something. You know, they'll spend at least a week or two on the subject, and they talk not only about male and female body parts, but the biology, physiology, diseases, everything. Parents are great, but they aren't trained teachers. So whatever is taught at school, parent's should be ready to answer questions when the kids get home.

School should be responsible about educating young people about issues relating to sex, including issues about pregnancy, STD's, and so on.

Parents are responsible for educating young people about sexuality and morality.

Ultimately, the young person must determine his or her own set of values regarding this issue (and all others).
