1 Timoth 4:12

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

The Bible says not to judge others. Being prejudice falls along those lines, however, age discrimination has to do with society as a whole. Most cultures have levels of respect based on ones age. The best way to deal with this is to try to become wiser (reading, familarize yourself with current affairs etc...) then is expected of your age group.

I have not seen anything like that in the Bible. The only thing I can think of that might be of minor assistance to you is that in the New Testament, Jesus was teaching the elders in the temples even when he was a child. Also, Simon was the youngest of the disciples, yet he was the dearest to Jesus, for his faith.

This shows that age is not necessarily the only deciding factor, but faith is in some matters.

The Sermon on the Mount states that we shouldn't judge others before looking at ourselves first. "And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." I know it doesn't mention age but it's the bible passage that sprang to mind when I read your question. I hope it helps.

Yes .. it is correct. It is in 1 Timothy 4:12 !!

LET NO ONE DESPISE YOUR YOUTH, BUT BE AN EXAMPLE TO THE BELIEVERS IN WORD, IN CONDUCT, IN LOVE, IN SPIRIT, IN FAITH, IN PURITY.

Go for it!! Be Courageous. Think out of the box. Dont ever limit what God can do in your life!!
