I think that it is, to get all your stuff taken away. But I think that you should stay after skool to get things done. If you cant get them done in time, then you should ask the teacher for somemore help w/ the assignment. But yeah, i think that was good judgement for your parents. They dont want to punish you, just get you to put in some good perspective and good decisions for you, to make you more responsible and careful, and to get everything turned in. You are in 7th grade, and you need to get a talking to if you do things wrong. But your main goal should b concentraing on skool work more often and not other things. If someone comes and starts talking to you while you are doing work, tell them to go away and that youre working. that's what my 8th grade teacher told me to say. I'm in 8th grade. I know it hurts to get punished but we need to be otherwise you'd know your parents dont care about you and your grades. But i also knoe that it wont seem fair, but it is. So i guess yea, it is fair.

If you're not getting all your work turned in, then you're spending too much time on other activities. Right now, your job is school... I think your parents were totally fair. You'll just have to suck it up and do better, then maybe you'll get your things back. That's the whole point--you're not supposed to have your fun things because they apparently distract you. Your parents WILL NOT believe you, no matter what you promise, until they actually see proof on your report card.
I hope this is a good lesson for you, even if it's painful. Your schoolwork is the most important thing right now, and when you start to do better you'll feel better about yourself. Hopefully you will also learn how to budget your time so that you get your work done and still have time for fun.
Believe me, your parents don't hate you, they just want you to become a smart, well-educated person. That's a heck of a lot better than being a total ignoramous the rest of your life!
Hang in there!
You need to learn now, because when you get to high school, there's going to be more work!

yes it was...I don't agree with them spanking you bad....but you know, school is way more important than having fun with friends. It is your responsibility to do well if not excellent. You can have fun AFTER school work is done, you just have to get your priorities straight. You are a priviledge child, you don't have to work or anything to support yourself, so that's your only thing to do. Millions of kids in the world can't go to school because they are too poor, many have to work since the age of 7 years old (or less) so be thankful you go to a school and that will make a big difference in your life. Keep on the right track and do better next time.

yes, i think it is fair.

If you just cant learn the material you may need to ask your parents for a tutor, or tell them you just cant learn the work and need help from an adult.

If you had dnoe your home work right the first time you wouldnt be in this trouble. Theres pleanty of time for friends when school is out, or your work is done. SChool isnt about friends, its about learning so you can have a decent life as an adult.

It cant be all that bad, you still have your computer is seems. You've been asking questions about this the past few days, so i'd have to bet its not as bad as you think it is.

Do you get to apply the laptop throughout the time of the week for college or is that on weekends basically? If that have been me i could permit you carry close out with pals on the weekends after homework/reading is accomplished. each thing else I accept as true with. Texting is a foul habit and it extremely is distracting once you are attempting to get issues accomplished, esp. once you may desire to pay interest. artwork complicated and save your grades up in spite of the undeniable fact that and this isn't a topic anymore.

My daughter is the same age and if she was getting 2 D's she would not see her friends at all for awhile. Why should your parents trust you that you are doing your homework with 2 D's? They lost trust in you and I can understand why.

I don't want to be mean, Jae, but I think you're parents were right to punish you like that. Right now, I'm in the 8th grade and taking 9th grade Honors classes, and I'm freaking out because I have a B- in Math!!!!
P.S. What were the two classes?

I don't know about the spanking, but the rest is totally fair. Show them you're doing what you're promising and i'm sure your privileges will be returned.

My dear please do not worry too much. The punishment is momentary till you prove that you can be the best. Wipe out the punishment side apart from your mind - ignore it and make a firm affirmation mentally that YOU WILL BE TEACHING THEM A LESSON SHORTLY and they have to reverse their decision. THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR A STRONG WILL AND ALL YOU NEED IS TO MAKE A STRONG COMMITMENT FOR YOURSELF.

REMEMBER FAILURE IS THE STEPPING STONE FOR SUCCESS. MANY GREAT MEN IN THE WORLD WERE IN THE BEGINNING GREAT FAILURES AND AFTER REALIZATION ONLY THEY HAVE BECOME GREAT MEN.

GOOD LUCK.

Yes it's fair punishment, Middle School is so easy theres no reason to get D's. This will make you more prepared for High School and college and eventually have a better life.
