My cat has a really itchy fur coat. Turns out he is allergic to his cat food. We had to take 'em to the vet to buy special food. Now he's happy as a clam :)

their fur isn't itchy, but on really hot days my cat sweats a little and lays in front of fans. i feel bad for him and soak him with a cool damp towel and point the fans down at him. I know he like the fan, but he can't say anything about the wet towel.

If your cat is itchy he might have allergies. Check that before you shave him.

Especially indoor cats.....it's not like they were designed to live in my apartment that's always heated to 78 degrees.
