I use a frying base as it is fast.

125g self-raising flour
pinch of salt
water to mix
2tbsp olive oil

1. Put the flour and salt together in a bowl. Add 3tbsp water and 1tbsp olive oil. Mix together to form a dough.
2. Shape the dough into a ball and then flatten it out to fit a small frying pan.
3. Heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan and fry the pizza base for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
4. Flip over and cook for a further 5 minutes. Then slide the pizza base onto a plate and add your toppings.

Best pizza base mix? Simple. Use any recipe for plain white bread, and follow the instructions in the method supplied. Add a small amount of olive oil to the mixture.

Use the risen and knocked-back dough to make pizza bases as thick or thin as you prefer. My tip? Don't even think about trying to roll it out. Squeeze, press and flatten it with your hands into a rough circular shape. More authentic, and authentic-looking.

I assume you meant pizza dough. A good biscuit recipe is best. Flatten it out and shape it the way you want. Brush the edges of the crust with butter or margarine if you like that crispy Pizza Hut crust.
If you were referring to the sauce, use tomato paste and tomato sauce. I never measure my ingredients but add little of each of these until you get the desired taste: parsley, oregano, thyme, garlic, onion, salt or seasoned salt, and a bay leaf. Cook on a very low temp for about 30 minutes before removing the bay leaf.
I find that if you buy the Kraft Italian blend of cheeses, it's great on pizza, lasagna, etc.
Hope this helps.

I make my own wholemeal bread and to make a pizza base, I just take about a handfull or so (depending on how big a pizza I want to end up with) of that dough, mix a little olive oil into it, knead, and roll into a ball then flatten with hands into a round(ish) shape and top with whatever takes your fancy.

You can, of course, use white flour if preferred.

If you make enough dough you can make several bases then freeze them for future use.

Cornmeal Pizza Dough
Dissolve 2 tablespoons sugar in 2 cups water (110°F); dissolve 1/2 ounce dried yeast in mixture. Let stand 5 minutes. Meanwhile, combine 4 cups flour, 2 cups cornmeal and 2 teaspoons salt; pour in reserved yeast mixture with 1/2 cup olive oil. Beat until soft dough forms. Knead dough, adding remaining 1/2 cup flour as necessary. Proof dough until double in bulk; punch down. Shape dough into a ball. Divide dough into fourths; shape each into 12-inch pizza shells. Yield: 4 12-inch Shells.
