I actually went to a dermatologist at a big hospital and the doctor had a student doctor who came in to see first. I came in cause I had a mole on the tip of my penis and she took my info and asked me to get undressed and to wear a gown. Well then she came back in a few minutes, and I was sitting on the patient table with my robe on. This girl was so beautiful. I couldnt believe how young and pretty and slim she was. Anyway, she asked me to go ahead and disrobe (it didnt make any sense to wear it in the first place) and there I was sitting there naked in front of her. At first I was just a little inch which was a little embarrassing but as she put her rubber gloves on and I looked at her, my penis starting growng bigger and she definetly saw it, and I was rock hard at 3.5 inches. It's very difficult for young men to control when t hey get an erection. I would say as long as you do not purposefully fantasize about the doctor or anything else when you're getting an exam, it's no big deal. It's embarrassing, though. However, erections that happen at inconvenient times are a fact of life for young men. If you sat there and masturbated, or tried to grope the doctor, now THAT would be messed up.

An erection is a natural response when a male is aroused. It's not something that you can control ( or so my husband tells me), I do not think it's bad ettiquiette,especially since she was so close in proximity to your penis. The fact that she is a medical student/doctor means that this is probably not the first and not the last time that she has encountered this issue. I think you handled it well, when you try to crack jokes and make light of a situation, it sometimes backfires. Well that just normal have erection front of a female. Curious as to your age Phil! What you are describing is like a scene from a porn movie with actors playing the roles. A female doctor would never insert her hand (gloved or ungloved) inside your shorts, or get down on one knee with her face/lips inches for your penis. Etiquette is something which you can control. Like, how to behave at a party or how to dress.
Erection does not fall under etiquette. You got aroused and you got an erection, nothing wrong in that. So, its cool.
